The South County People's Kitchen has been serving a daily hot meal on the Central California Coast since 1992. It is a volunteer based non-profit IRS qualified 501C3 organization where volunteers from a multitude of local churches and community organizations, such as Arroyo Grande Community Hospital, and Arroyo Grande Rotary Club, organize a team to prepare, bring, and serve a hot meal on specified days every month. The present location is in Grover Beach, CA at the House of God Church, 946 Rockaway Street. There are no paid employees. All officers and board members are volunteers dedicated to our mission that no one should ever go hungry on the Central Coast. Donations are used for more than buying food, supplies, and facility rent. SCPK also helps those in need with clothing, survival supplies like personal hygiene kits, backpacks, sleeping bags, tents, rain gear, and even bus transportation to use for obtaining healthcare, government services, or employment.
